Meet Ecotonic

A few years ago I played with Jason Ebs and his wife Janea in a band called Ecotonic.
They hired me to play bass, and a drummer, Chris Slade (who you may know better from AC/DC), and we worked together for about a year.
Ecotonic is like a melodic rock & roll type of sound. They were located in Los Angeles but now they've been playing a lot in Las Vegas. Ecotonic says that they are a "place where two or more musical styles collide"... "to bring a wall of sound in a 'Heavy modern Fleetwood Mac' kind of way".
Jason asked me to play my bass even lower, and I didn't want to get a 6-string so I got a HipShot and installed it myself to get the thumping bass sound he was looking for.

We got presented in Music Connection article once back in 2007.
